물리적으로 동일한 공간 내에서 여러 사용자가 협력 또는 대결하는 가상현실 콘텐츠를 개발하기 위한 제작 기법을 소개한다. 이러한 멀티플레이어 VR 유형의 콘텐츠는 사용자 캐릭터의 1인칭 시점으로 진행되어야 하며 실제 사용자가 체험하는 공간에서의 위치가 HMD를 통해 보여 지는 가상공간에 실시간으로 반영될 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 일반적인 가상현실 콘텐츠와 달리 같은 장소에서 사용자간에 상호작용이 가능한 가상현실 콘텐츠를 제작할 때 고려해야하는 사항에 대해 해결 기법과 함께 이를 적용한 응용사례를 소개한다. 이러한 기술들이 보다 다양한 진행방식의 가상현실 콘텐츠 제작을 촉진하여 관련 산업 저변을 확대할 것으로 기대된다.

영문내용
(English Abstract) |
This paper introduces techniques and approaches for developing virtual-reality contents in which several users cooperate or confront each other in the same space. Users play this multiplayer VR type of content with a first-person point of view. The location of each user in the actual space must be reflected in the virtual space viewed through the HMD in real time. In this paper, we propose a solution to consider when developing these virtual-reality contents. We also introduce several application examples that can verify these technologies, which are expected to promote the production of virtual-reality contents and expand the related industries.
